The Ring die is ring fittings with porous surfaces. Ring molds have thin walls, dense holes, and assembly requires high dimensional accuracy. It is one of the most important and easily worn accessories in the pellet mill .
The ring die is mainly made of high carbon and high chromium steel (4Cr13) and alloy steel, in order to ensure the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the ring die. It is treated by high temperature carbonizing or vacuum quenching to ensure the hardness of the ring die. And the ring die needs to have a suitable die hole arrangement and compression ratio based on the product to be manufactured, so that the ring die can have a higher productivity with the same opening area.
Every step of the production process of a ring die must be finished to the standard size in order to ensure that the various indicators of the ring die can meet the requirements.
In the pellet mill , the ring die cooperates with the roller shell to extrude raw material into the die hole, resulting in the required granular product. Due to the constant friction of the material, the ring die is very easy to wear. Therefore, the quality of the ring die directly determines the quality of the extruded particles.
